Visit St Catherine's Monastery, the most important religious site in Sinai on a day trip from Sharm el Sheikh. Morning pick up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and tavel in air-conditioned comfort van for around 3 hours with your personal tour guide who will introduce you to the history and religious significance of the monastery and its surrounds. Situated at the base of sinai mountain where Moses received the ten commandments, St Catherine's Monastery is one of the most famous in the world. Built between 527 and 565 AD, it is believed to be built around Moses' Burning Bush. The Monastery is named after St Catherine who was tortured and beheaded for her Christian beliefs. During your visit you will see chapel Greek orthodox church, the icons of worship and the famous Mosaic of Transfiguration. After that head to Dahab, the Flower Power City in the Red Sea, for a city tour and shopping tours in Dahab. Have lunch at a local restaurant then we will drive you back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. Tour starts at 07:00 and return 15:00.
