Today you will be transferred only 47 miles (76 kilometers) south of Cairo where stayes the oasis of Fayoum. The wooden waterworks is the main attraction in the city, it represents an example of the ingenuity displayed by ancient Egyptian engineers. El-Fayoum city was the main center of Sobek worship, the crocodile god. Of interest are the huge wooden waterwheels, about 200 of the great waterwheels are located throughout the oasis with plams and mangos around. You will visit also Qarun Lake where different kinds of birds are living. Qarun lake is belived to be the oldest natural lakes in the world, the third largest lake in Egypt. It is an interior lake which is not related to any sea and an area of around 53 thousands acres in Fayoum Down. By the other side of the Oasis, there are many ruined temples at Karanis, the ancient city.  After that transfer to Qasr Qaroun about 55 km North West of Fayoum City. It consists of the well-preserved temple and remains of the Graeco Roman City of Dinysios.Then onto Wadi Al Rian where you can enjoy riding a boat around before driving back to Cairo.
